This paper is a summary of how accountability to future generations is understood in the world and in Lithuania. The paper provides an overview of how accountability to future generations is set out in the vision for the future of Lithuania, ‘Lithuania 2050’; covers the implementation of the principle of accountability to future generations in Lithuania, and summarises the proposals that should be taken into account in the formulation of the documents that relate to the implementation of ’Lithuania 2050.’
