The car of the future: cleaner and more energy efficient
Urban pollution, climate warming and the need to save fossil fuels, in particular petrol, have placed the question of the "clean car" in the lime light. Commissioned by the UMP president of the National Assembly, this study on establishing a definition of the car of tomorrow was entrusted to Mr. Christian Cabal and Mr. Claude Gatignol, Deputies. During their investigations, they sought to precisely evaluate the current state and expected evolution of pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. They examined both currently available and future technologies for designing a greener automobile, while keeping in mind both economic realities and consumer needs. In the end, they established an outline for a car that is both cleaner and more energy efficient.
