Modern family policy versus demographic change
For over 20 years the number of new born children in Poland has not ensured generation replacement. Like other European countries we are facing a demographic crisis. There is need for policies that encourage parenthood, including parental leave for both parents, flexible working hours, etc. Such policies should also focus on providing favorable conditions for the development of the child. This will require the government to hammer out a plan of action and to allocate adequate financial resources for its implementation
