In January 2009 Polish government approved the construction of the first nuclear power plants in the country. The first facility would start in 2020. This decision had not been preceded by public debate even though nuclear energy issues are highly controversial both among the experts and general public. Nuclear energy raises many concerns, primarily about its environmental impact, but also about economics and legal aspects related to geographical locations and construction process of the first Polish installations. This report present the arguments against developing nuclear power industry in Poland.
