After its useful life, electrical and electronic devices become electrical and electronic waste (REE in Spanish), which contain highly toxic compounds. At the same time, they also contain materials that are very valuable, so their recovery is a profitable economic and a good environmental practice. There are examples in the world that show how it is possible to integrate the formal and informal sectors to optimize their management, which results in economic benefits and reduces the environmental impact.
